This Privacy Policy explains how Campground Social ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit our website and use our services.
1. Information We Collect
Personal Identification Information
We may collect personal identification information when you:
- Visit our site
- Register for an account
- Subscribe to our service
- Fill out a form
Information you provide may include your email address, name, Instagram username, public profile or post URLs, account goals, creative brief, support messages, and choices about plans and email updates. Audit and tool captures can also record the page and campaign source that brought you to the form.
Technical and Service Information
You can browse public pages without creating an account. That does not mean no information is processed: requests and service actions can generate technical and operational information, including:
- IP address, browser user-agent, and approximate location
- Authentication, abuse-prevention, and service event records
- Audit results, cited public sources, and saved public profile/post data
- Plan, payment, subscription, and recorded delivery information
2. Web Browser Cookies
We use cookies and browser storage for sign-in, audit continuity, report access, retry-safe requests, and service-interface state. See our Cookie Policy for the technical inventory.
You can choose to have your browser refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent. If you do so, note that some parts of the site may not function properly.
Optional Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity collection is currently disabled on Campground. We do not load those trackers, including cookieless analytics pings. Essential security and service event processing described here continues independently of optional analytics.
3. How We Use Collected Information
Campground Social collects and uses your personal information for the following purposes:
- To operate our service: Run audits, plan recommendations, paid engagement, delivery receipts, billing, and support workflows
- To improve customer service: Respond to support requests and needs
- To prepare account-specific recommendations: Use your confirmed brief and public account information to suggest content experiments
- To improve our site: Use feedback to improve our offerings
- To process payments: Handle billing and subscriptions via Stripe
- To send email: Login codes, requested results, billing and service messages, and optional marketing updates according to the preferences recorded for those updates
- To keep the service working: Check requests for abuse, troubleshoot failures, and maintain operational records
4. How We Protect Your Information
Sign-in uses expiring login codes or links and a session cookie. Access checks limit account and operator actions. Cloudflare Turnstile and request limits help check requests for abuse. These controls do not eliminate every security risk.
Payment details are entered through Stripe's payment interface. Campground retains billing references and subscription/payment records, rather than raw card numbers or card security codes.
5. Sharing Your Personal Information
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal identification information to others.
Operating the features you request can require sending information to service providers. For example, a login email goes through our email provider, public account research goes through research providers, and an Instagram handle or post URL can be sent to a fulfillment provider.
These transfers can include identifying information, not only anonymous statistics. The list below explains which providers support each service and what information they may receive when that service is used.
6. Service and Marketing Email
Service emails are separate from optional marketing preferences. Audit and tool forms record a separate marketing choice; the audit form's updates checkbox is optional and unchecked by default.
- Service emails include login codes, receipts, and account/service notices
- Optional updates can include tips, product news, and promotional content
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in optional marketing emails or your account's email preferences.
7. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Stripe: Payment processing. Customer email and an internal user reference are used to create billing records; payment details are handled through Stripe's interface.
- Railway: Application and worker hosting, with PostgreSQL and Redis used for stored service records and abuse controls. PostgreSQL is the database software, not a separate provider company.
- Cloudflare: Request delivery and security checks. Turnstile verification sends a challenge token and IP address to Cloudflare.
- OpenAI: Public-web account research and AI-assisted recommendations. Inputs can include the Instagram handle, public URLs, profile text and captions, owner-provided context, and saved goals or creative brief. Public audits are not connected Instagram Insights.
- Apify: Public Instagram profile and post collection, including a fallback when direct public-web research needs a profile snapshot. The requested Instagram handle is sent to Apify.
- Maileroo: Sending login, service, and permitted marketing email. Recipient addresses and message content pass through Maileroo.
- Microsoft 365 / Outlook: Business support and replies. The support-intake path can copy support-addressed email through Maileroo into Campground's operator queue when forwarding is enabled. That forwarding is currently paused; originals remain in Outlook. The app's intake stores verified plain-text message content and attachment names, types, and sizes, not attachment files.
- Mintlify: Hosting the separate Help Center linked from Campground. Following that link opens the help site; its own processing is separate from Campground's disabled optional analytics.
- AutomaticViral and SMM providers: Fulfillment paths can receive an Instagram handle or post/profile URL, selected quantities, and delivery settings when setup or ordering is performed.
- Slack: Operator alerts can include account handles, customer email, and service/error details needed to review an incident.
- ipapi.co: An IP-address lookup can supply approximate location for sign-in records.
Providers have their own data practices and retention policies. Public research inputs may also be retained by the provider that processes them.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this page as service paths change and update its "Last Updated" date.
